Surnatural Orchestra

Jeannot Salvatori has a master in physics and acoutics at the university Paris VI. He study piano since he is four and started saxophone at the age of ten. He also composes music on computer.  He writes scores for theatre plays, advertising and cartoon animations.  He co-founded the jazz band Surnatural Orchestra in 2001, which gathers 19 musicians.  The band plays an original repertoire between popular music and conceptual music. They also use the soundpainting, universal live composing sign language created by New York composer Walter Thompson for musicians, dancers, actors, poets, and visual artists working in the medium of structured improvisation. He is a soundpainter since he met Walter in 2006. He also teaches it in France with beginners and confirmed musicians.  He is also art director in the D.H.R. trans-artistic production’s cooperative.
